David Crosby

Legendary singer, songwriter and guitarist David Crosby has seen it all and lived to tell the tale. A two-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of pioneering groups The Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Crosby’s fluid acoustic guitar voicings and rich vocal harmonies led a West Coast rock revolution in the 1960s. After playing on such classic albums as Turn! Turn! Turn! (The Byrds, 1965) and Déjà Vu (CSNY, 1970), he released several solo records and collaborations before nearly becoming yet another rock n’ roll casualty.

Crosby conquered a severe and well-documented addiction to cocaine in the 1980s before rejoining CSNY for American Dream in 1988 and releasing his second solo record, Oh Yes I Can (1989). Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young reunited again in 1999 for Looking Forward and the ensuing CSNY2K tour. Crosby continues to make inspired music with Alvarez guitars in CSNY and with his son James Raymond in the CPR project.
